For Lunik’s paragliding drummer, stepping away from the realities of life on earth is a regular occurrence, but he’s amazed at the progression that Lunik have demonstrated with the new album.  “No more synthesisers or artificial sequencers, this album has an honest feel and I can’t wait to perform it live.  I bring power and energy to the music; I’m the live guy!”  Chrigel is a technically accomplished drummer, who brings a real class and flourish to his playing.  “This is what I do, when I’m not playing music I’m doing sport, gym-work, drummer stuff to prepare for the live situation!” Chrigel was the only member of the band to complete his National Service, the rest of the band were rather conveniently declared mentally unsound..!

Feeling the presence of some of the musical stars who have worked at studios like Wiseloord in Amsterdam, where some of the album was created, really spurred the band on.  It was certainly a more inspiring venue than the decommissioned nuclear bunker the band used to rehearse in at home in Switzerland.  “This is an album from a band of very good musicians, but the songwriting really sets us apart.  I love that mixture of the female voice with the often robust band around it.”
