Time was the luxury that allowed Lunik to create such an accomplished album, according to keyboard player Cedric. “We built from scratch, from a blank canvas”.   The album has an organic, natural feel to it, “a nice warm sound, but with an edge”.  Though he is part of the creative unit, Cedric is still blown away by some of the songs that Lunik have produced.  “Jael’s voice is incredible, when listening to the first mixes I honestly had tears in my eyes.  It’s moving and it touches me, that’s what music is about.”
Lunik works because of a team ethos, everyone plays their part.  “I’m a very enthusiastic guy, and my energy drives people on.  My way of playing also supports the sometimes melancholic structure of our songs.”  Cedric believes that the new album has a beauty that is more than skin deep.  He has a reputation as Lunik’s party animal but promises, “If you get to know me, you’ll see there’s more to me than just an image”.  The same is more than true for his band too, there’s real quality here, people connect to these songs.
